Mexico's geography features many things such as swamps, deserts, and mountains. Over half the country's alitude is greater then 1000m (3,300ft). The central land mass is a plateau with mountains to the east and a caost to the west. Nourthern Mexico has a desert terrain and climate. In the Highlands, There is a temperate climate with pleasent summers and mild winters.
The most important place in Mexico is the Capital, Mexico city. It is locaed in the Valley of Mexico, a large valley in the plateaus. In 1325, Mexico City was founded but named another name, Tenochtitlán, the ancient capital of the Aztec Empire.
